The season to start swimming
It is with great pride that we announce that our swimming pool has been re-opened. After a long period of closure due to maintenance, we have finally been able to afford our learners the opportunity to swim, and spend some time out for “sun and fun activities.”
Staff Development
Over the period of the 5th to the 6th of March, as a means to welcome our new staff members and to further develop our skills and connections.
The Chapel re-opens
We are proud to announce that our Chapel has been re-opened. The Chapel in the Holy Spirit Centre has been re-opened to our learners. As part of the spirit of Lent, our learners are now able to access the Chapel for quiet time, and to spend time in the presence of the Lord.
Our International Pride
Giaan Isaacs, one of our Grade 10 learners was selected to be part of the Western Province Ice Skating Team. As part of her journey, she represented South Africa on an international stage in
The Final Fundraiser for the First Term
As a final effort for the first term Holy Cross High held its final civvies day for the first term on Friday 13 March. Keeping to the theme of Easter, we allowed our learners the opportunity to wear casual wear with funky ears. As part of our school fundraising efforts we endeavoured to end off the term on an exciting note.
Learning About Life
Our Grade 8 learners have been learning about the life cycle of plants, and the anatomy of plant life. As part of their Natural Sciences task, the learners grew beans. And with pride, their hard efforts have yielded beautiful specimens that are ready to be transplanted into soil.
