False Start !

Dear parents and learners as you know by now the Minister has moved the opening of schools to 15 February. We will respect this in view of the pandemic we are facing and the need to safeguard ourselves and each other from the virus.

We will however start online.

Grade 12 learners are encouraged to join their WhatsApp groups from 2020 this weekend already. Staff members are already engaging with the start up of their subjects. Grade 12 will start following their syllabus on the 18th (Online and at home – not at school) Visit the grade 12 planning and see the week 0 planning document which has been uploaded. Note that the correct time table is also present. Staff will follow this timetable daily and the relevant support groups on WhatsApp will be the one way of engaging directly with the educator.

Grade 11 we will implement online as of 25 January (Week 1). Grade 9 & 10 we will implement as of 1 February (Week 2) and grade 8 Orientation will start online as of 8 February (Week 3).

Thus by 15 February when learners arrive at school everyone will be organized into classes and already have begun with their work.

Parents needing to finalise any registration or payment issues need to do so during the week of 18 January (Admin staff and strict safety protocols will be in place) Do not bring learners with you for this process.
